White peony is the least processed tea there is: bud and young leaf, withered and dried, and nothing else done to them. The cup is pale, soft and faintly honeyed, a whisper by design. We lay real lavender over it with deliberate restraint, so it perfumes the edges rather than shouting over the leaf, and let rose petals and blue cornflower finish the picture. How to Steep
Four steps to a delicate, fragrant cup — respect the white peony leaf.

per 150ml cup
Water
Water at 75°C. Let the kettle stand for 5 minutes after boiling before pouring, as hotter water bruises the delicate leaf.
Measure
2g of tea per 150ml of water.
Brew
Steep for 3 to 4 minutes. Watch the delicate infusion take shape.

What is white peony tea?
One of the great white teas: a pluck of bud and young leaf, withered and dried with almost no processing. The cup is pale, soft and faintly honeyed, the most delicate true tea style there is.
Does white tea have caffeine?
A little, less than green tea, far less than black. Lavender Whisper is the tea for late evenings when you want a real leaf in the pot but not a real jolt in the cup.
What does Lavender Whisper taste like?
Soft, honeyed white tea first; the lavender arrives as perfume at the edges rather than as a flavour in the middle. Rose and cornflower add a faint floral depth. Nothing in it is loud.
Why is it more expensive than the other blends?
White peony is the costliest leaf in the range, a limited pluck of bud and young leaf, handled gently at every step. You are paying for what was not done to it.
How should I brew white tea?
75°C, three to four minutes, 2g per 150ml. This is the strictest temperature rule in the range: hotter water bruises the leaf and turns delicacy into flatness. Boil the kettle and wait four to five minutes.
Is this the same as drinking lavender tea?
No, pure lavender infusions are potpourri-adjacent and easily overwhelming. This is a white tea with lavender used sparingly, which is why it reads as elegant rather than soapy.
