Zesty Earl Grey is what happens when Earl Grey meets the spice cupboard. The base is robust CTC black tea, strong, dark, quick to give. Carrying natural bergamot for the familiar citrus nose, and behind it cardamom, cinnamon, clove and black pepper. The pepper is a whisper, not a burn. It drinks like a cross between a proper Earl Grey and a dry karak: loud, warming, and very hard to ignore before nine in the morning.

How to Steep
Four steps to a bold, spiced Earl Grey cup — loud, warming and high-caffeine.

per 170ml cup
Water
Water at 96°C. Rinse the leaves first with a splash of hot water and discard to wake the spices.
Measure
2g of tea per 170ml cup.
Brew
Steep 3 minutes (Hot neat cup) or 4 minutes if serving with milk. The CTC base will not thin out.
Enjoy
Strain. Serve hot with milk like a spiced latte, or pour double-strength over ice with an orange peel twist.

What is the difference between Zesty Earl Grey and the classic Earl Grey?
The classic (AED 52) is whole-leaf Darjeeling with natural bergamot and nothing else, quiet and precise. Zesty (AED 80) is the spiced signature version: a strong CTC base with bergamot plus cardamom, cinnamon, clove and black pepper. Same citrus nose, completely different energy.
Is Zesty Earl Grey spicy hot?
No. The black pepper and clove read as warmth, not heat. Think of the spice profile of a dry karak rather than anything chilli-like.
Does Zesty Earl Grey have caffeine?
Yes, plenty. CTC black tea extracts fast and full, so this is one of the strongest cups we make. Morning and early afternoon only, unless caffeine does nothing to you.
Can I make Zesty Earl Grey with milk?
Yes, the CTC base was practically born for it. Brew four minutes instead of three, add milk, and you have something between a masala chai and an Earl Grey latte.
Why rinse the leaves before brewing?
A quick hot-water rinse, swirled and discarded, wakes the whole spices and washes away any fine dust from the grind. The cup pours cleaner and the spice arrives brighter. Ten seconds, worth it.
What is actually in Zesty Earl Grey?
